2009 Wrap-up.

'Lo all.

So, this is the big one. 2009, what a year, etc, cliche. Here's something I prepared earlier, and posting today because I'm going out tomorrow, thank gawd.

Since Emma's drafting hers, I'm drafting this. I should really stop listening to depressing music for this. Maybe I should write two, one with happy music and one with sad music, just to see if I get two different posts. Too many variables, I guess, specially experimenter effect.

On that note, school was survivable this year. Passed all my subjects, which was my goal. Didn't aim to do well, just pass. Doing well was bonus. Not to say I didn't work, hell, some lit stuff was absolute torture, but I guess I was rewarded for it. Lit wasn't too bad, looking back, though I'd remove any trace of Baz Lurhmann from the curriculum. Psych was actually pretty good, because I only had like three almostfriends (and Shona) in that class, I concentrated more. But because so many kids do it, the results get a bit distorted. Oh well. I enjoyed it. History was good too, I think, we did some interesting stuff. Media was alright, after a rocky start and crappy project, got to like the new teacher, did alright all up. Bio was good, I liked Mrs Moy, and Mr Bacon's pretty cool, got me a fancy certificate at the end of the year for it. And maths. Lol.

Other than all that, school wasn't too bad. Survived the deb, grudgingly. Had no deb party afterwards, so no motivation other than make Lulu happy. Think I did that. No mad camps, couple of insane excursions. Nick Harris shouting at Mrs Dyke over a watermelon will be a treasured memory forever, I think. Deathball was pretty fun, specially when the year twelves were chucking basketballs at Gavin, poor bastard.

And as we begin to struggle, I've flicked open all the titles of stuff on the blogger thing. This will be the 300th post for the year, and 550th on blogger. How weird is that. Seriously. Nearly two whole years of my life recorded digitally. I'll rant more on this later.

Extra curricular wise, we had the big Black Saturday bushfires, which burned down the farmhouse at Taggerty, nearly burnt down the Noonan's house and Emma's house, and made the sky turn all trippy. Relay for Life was pretty important, I spose, since I was the last bastard awake basically. Damn kids quitting on me. The One Night Stand was pretty awesome except for all the douchebags and their death pits. Had a mad zombie photoshoot, that was cool.

Important stuff now. Since discovering how to download things efficiently, I've tripled my music library to a good 30ish gigs. This is a lot. The playlist has also doubled. Contributions from Emma, George, Bernice, Claire, Aiden, Ryan, Isobelle, and Isaac, thanks kids. Listened to more triple J, and started vaguely following pitchfork, and I'm not a big fan of this new indie craze. It's just bland, sorry. At least the emos are slowly dying out. Stupid band names like Bring Me the Horizon just make it seem stupider. Rocknroll, that's where it's at. Them Crooked Vultures, Jack white's new outfit, Powderfinger, Pearl Jam, all new albums this year, Pearl Jam's wasn't bad, and I'm still debating whether or not to get tickets for TCV next year. Oh yeah, Aiden and I went to Pearl Jam at Telstra Dome, it was incredible.

Movies. Yesterday's post was all the movie reviews. Overall, I think it was pretty dire. Transformers 2 was big, dumb, loud, and crap, Avatar looked good but there wasn't much of a story. I did like Inglourious Basterds, District 9, and Watchmen though. I watched a lot of really good movies, like The Machinist and Memento, that have become favourites. I'm restoring my karmic balance by downloading obscene amounts of music, but buying dvds. So far the only one I've regretted is The Blair Witch Project.

What else have we got... Sick of band, will stick around at school for the camp though. Came fourth in the cross country, then meh in the ones after that. Got a pair of converses, am I hip now? Many thanks to Aiden for getting me a drug running gig at the chemist's, which I've been enjoying for nearly a year now, and I'm still at Bis which is cool. All the chefs are good people. Got my 120 hours of driving, really looking forward to getting my Ps for our roadtrip to schoolies.

Oh yeah, social stuff. Went to a few mad parties and a few boring ones, met some new friends like Jasmine, developed a taste for Mr Beam's bourbon, and generally lost faith in humanity. Isn't that fun? Keep telling myself things could always be worse, so I figure I'm still sane.

The Beardman has shaved the beard, unfortunately, but he's still alive, which is good. Fraser is growing more and more rebellious because he's a teenager and that's what teenagers do, he's got 10mm stretchers in his ears and they're growing all the time, which seem to contribute to him being a dick, though for some reason he went through an "old music" phase and asked for all my Pink Floyd. The girls are growing up, I wonder if they'll be taller than me.

Big props to the cooler kids who made my year, like Aiden, Emma, Tom, Alison, Aiden, Ryan, Isobelle, Denny, Kelly, Sam, Bernice, Meg, Jess, Claire, Lulu, Nemo, Hayden, Isaac, Emily, Dayno Insano, Gav Daddy, Bradley, Annie and Belle, Molly, Bree, Molly, Sally, Jason, Agnik, Sarah and James, Pat, Tabby, Tara, Akari, Wingram, Jordan, Guy, Leighton, Caz, George and Megan and Rika, the Mad Dog Literature Class, Mrs Ripon's Awesome Squad, and anyone else I forgot. That's the problem with this sort of thing, you forget someone important. Not listed in order of importance, obviously, you kids are all cool.

Oh yeah, and Amaya, cos she deserves a special mention. Get back here.

Anyway. 550 posts and that's just on the public blog. That's insane! I can look back, and almost every title has a specific memory, like when we dissected that rabbit in biology or when Pat won the relay by overtaking every single other kid, then puked. I dunno if I'm sick of blogging yet. It's just something to do, and it's become a bad habit. More of you kids need to blog, even if you dunno what to write, Dayne, or you fully draft everything and write really good stuff, Emma. I miss Ryan's scathing attacks on randoms from way back. This whole blog thing has given me the opportunity to flick back and check things, and remember the good times and the crap times.

Next year, every day will have a photo. I'll take a few photos, pick the best, upload it and print it for my wall. Every day next year. If I don't post, I'll put two photos up the next day.

So here's the first one, since I'm probably not going to be here tomorrow. It's a photo of me. I don't know how to do this sort of thing, the lack of self esteem is useful in preventing me from taking embarrassing mirrorshots and editing them so they look worse (no offence, ladies). I figure I'll need this for when I cut my hair soon, because it's getting too long. So that's me, at the start of the most important year of my life, or so they say.

Funny lookin, isn't he. Little scamp. This right after work, so I'm filthy, and I need to shave that scumstache. Tomorrow I'll post a picture of the dramatis personae at Isaac's.

Tomorrow, I believe I'll go to Isaac's, get smashed, miss out on a new year's kiss, go home buzzing, then sleep. Start of a new decade, that'll make the third I've been alive in.

The Man Who Sold the World.

'Lo all.

Been a long time since we rock and rolled.

Since Monday, we had christmas, and I went to the cricket twice, and saw a movie.

Can't remember a lot of it.

Christmas wasn't too bad, went round to Diana's, had a few drinks with Mark and his new girlfriend, ended up talking cricket with PD, kids were going insane. Loot wasn't bad, some clothes off Diana and PD (hoodie's waaay too big though), bike toolkit of the Beardman, and I bought myself iPod. Which is big. Going to put library on it.

Boxing day test was pretty good, got the usual seats, Australia was frustrating (WATSON? KATICH? JESUS!), met Brian and Simon, had a look around in town (no money though), then on Monday went again with Aiden, again, it was frustrating at times, but Pakistan's grand plan was put the batsman on strike the whole time to avoid the 11th bloke getting out. Lots of blocks, not very exciting. We had a look at Bay 13 (quiet compared to Saturday), saw Simon again, chilled in the sun, and had reserved seats for the packed train home, was pretty good.

Most days have been like today, very quiet, haven't done a lot, Ryan dropped in with some goodies, and the horde went to the movies

Sherlock Holmes - ****
Very Guy Richie, he does this sort of plot very well. Robert Downey Jr was pretty good too. Sometimes the plot dragged a bit, I kept expecting Aleister Crowley to pop up. Still, not bad, would watch again.

After that, visited Jason, got some maccas, then split up. I'll see everyone on Thursday anyway.

So, tomorrow night I'll post again, 2009 wrapup and all that. Gotta see if I can get an efficient way of putting photos on too. Oh yeah, and I'm working, which will be fun.

Skin and Bones.

'Lo readers.

Long time no post.

Before the end of the year, there'll be one more post with everything that happened after christmas, then the big 2009 post. Emma's drafting hers, I figured I'd give that a try to avoid homework. It's not going well, it gets to the stage where I'm either ranting or feeling that I'm not talking enough about certain things. Naturally Emma's told me to keep in the rants, we'll see.

Anyway. Let's see... since I last posted, watched a few movies, caught up with a few people, and generally lived like a hermit with noodles.

On Friday, didn't have to go to work, chilled out, downloaded music.

On Saturday, my alarm failed me and I woke up five minutes before I was supposed to be at work. This is a bit problematic, to be honest. Very brief shower, screamed to work against a headwind, was only like fifteen minutes late. Was dead the whole time though. Nearly crashed when I got home. That night Amaya was online, we caught up a bit, it was good.

Next day, got up at 1, Ryan dropped in and we exchanged dvds, spent day watching Full Metal Alchemist til everyone came home. Beardman went paintballing, there's an amusing mental image. I owe Katie a couple of cds, my bad. Watched You're Welcome America, starring Will Ferrel as George Dubya, and that's very amusing.

And then today, discussed plans for next week (cricket twice and movies, maybe Eildon, then Bairnsdale for NYE, yes!), and basically haven't done much. Went to Annie's to drop off dvds, had a chat about Avatar 3D and psycho people, among other things. Panicked when the ps2 stopped working ten minutes into Adventureland, but I got it working again.

Zodiac - ****
Good. I heard the story ages and ages ago, it's excellent. My only problem with this movie is that it's too close to the real story, and thus is like 3 hours long nearly. It drags, but the start and end are really good. Definitely worth watching.

Tomorrow, want to basically do what I did today, but hopefully I'll have been paid, and if so, I'm picking up an iPod. Hell yes.

Avatar.

'Lo readers.

Not much to report today either.

Didn't do much at home, then headed down the street as it started cooling down. Picked up a camera and memory card, then work, which was alright, nothing to write home about really.

Afterwards, got a lift to the cinema, met up with Hayden and Sam, saw Mewha and some year elevens.

Avatar - ***1/2
We saw this in regular, not 3D. So, my perception may be different to Alison's or something. It looks pretty good. But every time you see one of the smurfs, it kinda draws you out. Aliens are not meant to look this human. The tech is cool, I liked the dreadnought things. Plotline predictable, dialogue meh, Sam Worthington should just stick to an Aussie accent. The Last Samurai in Space, District 9 did it waaay better.

Went home, talking to Emma about cricket and trying to sort out this camera. I know how to turn flash on, yay.

Tomorrow, kids are going away, I might have to work. Hope I don't.

Second Annual Mad Dog Waterfight.

'Lo everyone.

So, today was really bloody hot. Not humid, just hot. Naturally, we decided to go to the park and spray water at each other.

Tom dropped in, gave him advice regarding food dye, then went to Diana's to pick up the slingshots, including the big badarse orange one. Got to the park, had a chat to Emily as we filled up some waterbombs. The rest of them slowly started arriving, by the time Pat and Denny rocked up we had about half a dozen and we started shooting the crap out of each other. The best part is we all had white tops, so the food dye made them all psychedelic. We waited ages for more girls to show up, then blew the hell out of them too. Alison was running around with a bucket at one stage, very clever.

After a horde of 545 kids left, it started getting really hot, so we decided to go to Emily's, as she has a pool. Felt good, man. Girls wouldn't let us inside at first, bit of drama and stuff. Too hot. Went to Foodies with Jess and Meg for squishies and supplies, hung out with the horde, jousted on inflatables, all good.

Then home, shower, and work. Function tonight, my favourite. Kept on top of the dishes, but they didn't stop til like 1030. Jesus. Finally got out of there around 1115, thank gaaawd. So tired.

And tomorrow is chillout day til drug run in the afternoon. It's supposed to have cooled down, which will be good.

The Pretender.

'Lo all.

So, haven't done a lot. Denny dropped in out of boredom, we watched a movie and played guitar hero.

The Shining - ****
Kubrick. It looks good, I liked the shots following the tricycle. We kept thinking of the Simpsons though, dammit. Still good.

Then today, went shopping, bought some new runners (thanks Nanna K), Inglourious Basterds, Zodiac, and the Foo Fighters live from Wembley. Watched that between Sale carols. It's pretty good, starts out meh, but by the end it's damn good. Best bit is when Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones show up, Dave is so happy, like a kid at christmas when he starts up Rock and Roll. Must be cool to play with his childhood heroes, looks like he's having the time of his life pretending to be Bonzo.

Oh yeah, got my GAT results and stuff. 36 in psych is pretty good, and everything else was above average for the GAT. Yay.

So tomorrow is waterfight. Very serious business. Last time to act like retards for a year. And act like retards we shall.

Teenage Wasteland.

'Lo all.

So, lessee. Haven't done a lot, really.

Friday I picked up a new watergun.

Saturday, kids and Beardman went camping at the prom, I went out with the droogs. Pretty quiet, really. Jess was there, then she wasn't, then Erin appeared, and Sam was burning things and there was a maccas run that almost ended up with us getting a hundred chicken nuggets. Lucky it didn't.

Dr Chopper - *
A perfect example of a terrible movie, do not pay to see this unless you want to laugh and you're occupied doing something else. Or you're mildly intoxicated, either way. Terrible acting, terrible dubbing (yes dubbing), terrible makeup even. Bad film, something to laugh AT.

Today, stumbled awake, still sore, went to work, two bloody functions and kept in til 430. They played Them Crooked Vultures though, can't complain too much.

Came home, Diana and PD and I swapped stories of maccas runs over fishnchips (WE MUST TRY GOING TO MELBOURNE FOR MACCAS!), then wasted time, really. How very productive.

100 Girls - ***
Better than I was expecting. Annie lent it to me. It's about college kids and sex, of course. Sort of similar to American Pie, almost. Lot of feminist exposition, and the main character is a cross dresser.

And here I am. Yes, that's about all I've done since I last updated. There probably won't be another one til Wednesday night, after the mad waterfight.

Where the Wild Things Are.

'Lo everyone.

First day of the holidays. I figured it was worth blogging about.

After waking up, dragged myself to the post office for credit, a stoner waiting outside politely asked if he could send a text message, so he did, gave me 20c, shook my hand and ran off. That's my good deed for the day.

Then went to Jesssss, dropped off some movies. They're all good, maybe not to her taste. Then to the centre, met Bernice, went watergun hunting, then we saw George and Megan, had a good catch up sesh at the Black Pearl. George seemed a bit excited, naturally. He seems ok, though it was mostly me and him talking about music. He might be going to Adelaide to see the Pixies, which'd be cool.

Work next, most of the regulars had already picked their stuff up, and a storm was threatening my very life today. So, rode pretty quickly and prayed that my tyres wouldn't burst or catch on fire or anything. Pretty quiet.

Went home, had a brief chat about Claresco and reports and stuff with PD and Diana, then ate and went down the street. Met up with the small crowd at the cinema, there was Aiden and I, then Annie, Emily, Jess, Molly, Potter and Louise.

Where the Wild Things Are - ***
It looks very good, and it's relatable, specially if you've read the book when you were little. The pacing was a bit slow, but it all looked really, really good. I dunno if it's really a kids movie, and it's definitely not a teenager popcorn flick (some of them said they were bored), but I reckon if you really liked the book when you were a kid you'd get a kick out of it.

Then we went around in a big circle via Annie's and maccas, walked Jess home reminiscing about good times (LOLOLOLOLOLOL), then home and here I am.

Tomorrow, things are probably going to be pretty quiet, going to watch some movies Annie lent me, and sleep in. The usual, you know.

Til the End of the Day.

'Lo all.

Not a bad day today, all things considered. I mean, yeah, things were pretty slow, but a good way to end the year.

Rode to school with the droogs, handed out some bootlegs, then media. Gave Ms Robbins her copy, she went nuts. Got us a class party too, with cake. She took lots of photos then played the bootleg, which was pretty cool.

Then bio, got to play with playdoh with Dayne. Fun.

Recess. Can't remember doing anything exciting.

Spare for history, got a bit of homework done, lost a brief game of monopoly to Annie and Isobelle. I got utilities and chances, they got properties. Damn.

Lit. Lectured about holiday homework, then we got to leave early to find the podcast, which was missing. Shared some music, pretty quiet.

So, lunchtime, followed Lulu around and we got pizza with Mrs Ripon, signed a card for Marly, was pretty chilled out, then Lulu, Isobelle and I went around throwing kitkats at people, and chatted to Tara and Daewoo about captains and stuff.

Assembly was pretty dull except for a brief mention of TEAM MONGOOSE coming third in the fun run. Woo.

Then homeroom, report was alright, only two cs, both for history, which is annoying but oh well, now I know where to improve.Claresco was entertaining, there was one great picture of us from the deb. Hayden is groping Aiden, Aiden is wearing a wig, and Tom looks so completely (hilariously) out of it, it's awesome.

After school, I reckon about twenty of us ended up at the chicken shop for chips, and then we hit the grassy knoll (lol), then the centre ("WE MUST BUY FOAM SWORDS!" "Dude... why?" "I dunno?"), then back to the grassy knoll to chill and laugh about Hayden and Isaac being idiots in IT. Went home, showered, dumped stuff, went back to school.

Prizegiving is a strange beast. On one hand, it's good because as soon as it's over, you're free for ages, but then it is ridiculously slow and boring. Last year I was fairly brief on it, so let's keep that up. Music was good, didn't mess up on stage, Binks came fourth, then the prefects. Bernice next to me wanted it. At first it seemed like the first handful of prizewinners got it, then some other kids did. Not really surprised at what we got, though I would have picked some different kids maybe. Still. Glad I didn't get it. Congrats to my homies Cumpster, Emma, Claire, Molly, Georgia and Goody, and the rest of the prefects. Aiden did well as a vice captain running back and forth from the sinfonia, so did the rest of them. Kiwi school captain will be interesting.

Then it was over, kids were already whinging, I declined an offer to go to Sam's cos to be honest I'm tired and after this I'm crashing.

So, tomorrow is the start of the holidays, so here's my usual spiel about holidays: NOT going to post every single day, because I plan on chilling the frag out for as much of it as possible, so you'll get a dozen posts saying "Lo. Woke up. Ate. Went on interbutt. Tomorrow, more of the same. Peace" and that's just dull. So, unless something major happens, don't expect a post every single day til the new year, when I'll start adding photos. EXCITING?!

Woo.

Rain King.

'Lo readers.

Second last day of school, omg. It was pouring rain today. Saw Isobelle and Sally shivering. What the hell is going on.

Anyway. Rode to school, the year twelve bit has been trashed, and so has a buttload of other lockers, apparently. Story so far is that some goddamn punk kids raided the school, opened up all the unlocked lockers and threw out everything. Thus, brand new textbooks and work and important stuff like calculators left outside in the rain all night, and heaps of pissed off kids in the morning.

My locker was locked, funnily enough, I don't usually lock it. So, I'm unscathed.

First up was media, watched some more Slumdog Millionaire, pretty meh.

Then a spaaare, pretty dull, populars had common room, so I ditched Alison and headed to the library, chilled with Belle and Molly.

Recess. More whinging about the vandals. Got to skip biology for a prizegiving rehearsal, dull as always. Most of the cool kids are in the band, and the other lot is too spread out.

Lit. Got through two presentations. We aren't going to be able to fit them all in. Ryan believes this will lead to lunchtime presentations. God I hope not.

Then lunchtime, fairly slow again. Was comfortably sitting in common room when droogs rocked up, we went to get a ball for gork but the place was empty, so we played in the rain. Sam dunked both Mollys in a puddle. Pretty nuts.

History with Mr Gaskill, finished one question, one to go, then got a buttload of holiday homework. Yay.

And then another spare. Chatted to Alison, Emma, Jordan and Caz over coffee. Tired as buggery.

After school, walked with Jess, went to cinema but it was shut, then picked up another book for lit, and caught up a bit with my old peer support leader Sarah.

Then went to Diana's, enjoyed free food, discussed pranking with PD, who reckons there were punk kids (sound familiar?) who got caught knocking over rubbish bins and were being made to clean it all up at 2am. I lol'd.

Then home, finished maths homework (such fun), then started hunting for the recently released bootleg for Melbourne. Couldn't find it for free, Beardman agreed to buy it, it was only $10 and I can pay him right back, it's all good. Will burn for Aiden, George, Ms Robbins, and whoever else is interested, it was a kickarse gig. Fraser stumbled home, had one beer and was twice as obnoxious as usual. I don't recall being offered beers at 14, what a jip.

Tomorrow is the last day of school. Naturally it'll drag like a bitch. Prizegiving too, god damn.

Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas To Heaven.

'Lo everyone.

I am tired.

Today was excellent, funnily enough. Not often I say that, I guess.

It was a casual day, first of all. This means that I can just wear whatever's closest instead of school uniform, and you get that karma feeling that you're donating to charity blah blah blah girls. They went nuts, naturally. Caught Bernice and Jordan making fun of the funny looking ones. And there were buttloads of poor kids who'd forgotten.

Anyway. The second reason is that technically I only had one real class today, due to a combination of rare good fortune and mad timetabling.

Seriously. Went to school for double spare so I could do lit homework, stressed, bored, blah blah blah, caught up with some kids in the library, then we heard Mrs Dosser was not at school. Goody and I were praying after recess. She didn't show up, so party in the common room!

'Nother double spare. Didn't really do a lot, hung out with the droogs, chilled out, all good. Claire and Isobelle are Dr Who nerds and they're proud of it.

Lunch. It was surprisingly warm outside. So I didn't do much. Isaac kicked a bottle onto the top of the shade thing, it dripped down onto Kelly Scharthingy, pretty funny.

After that, yet another spare as Mrs Ripon was at a conference. Went to the library, attempted to help Alison with her maths stuff, but they were all playing a trivia game and we got distracted.

Next was media, we watched more Slumdog Millionaire. Mrs Robbins is leaving at the end of the year to take up primary school teaching. Brave. I'll miss her, I think, she was alright in the end. Excellent taste in music.

After school, headed down the street, had some chips with the horde (literally, there was like ten of us at one stage), then went to work, where there were only three things. Briefly visited Somerton bloody Park rd, screamed all the way back, then my headphones broke when I grabbed a drink. Chilled out the front of the chicken shop til like 530, then went home, kids were going nuts, my headphones are properly munted, and history homework is dull and will need to be done tomorrow.

On the facebooks, we went nuts. Bernice posted something about school captains (the results were a little surprising, congrats to the kids who got it), so naturally Aiden, Pat and I ran with it. Michael Jackson for school captain 2010! Then Tom J spoiled it for everyone, so we decided to sing Bohemian Rhapsody. Bernice tired of this quickly and deleted the post. Shame. We were having fun. You should have joined in the singing.

So, naturally, tomorrow's going to suck arse. That's just how things work. I can't go to the prom for very long, and I can't go camping with Gav and Dayne cos of work. Going to have to go to prizegiving and suffer through the whole damn thing. Probably going to be dragged to goddamn carols to play.

BUT ON THE PLUS SIDE SCHOOL ENDS ON WEDNESDAY LOL LOL LOL YAY!

Sunday.

'Lo everyone.

Today was pretty quiet.

Went to work, Guy Brewer has cut off his dreads. Woah. Short hair, cept for one last dread at the back. It's weird. Not a bad day at work, kept busy the whole time, spilt hot oil and stuff on my arm but it's still there, so that's ok. They played a lot of Smashing Pumpkins and Drapht, which was cool cept I had John Butler Trio and Them Crooked Vultures stuck in my head the whole time.

Went home, read some stories for lit, still a bit puzzled on mine. Attempted to start history homework but got stuck, then sidetracked, but apparently it isn't due til Wednesday anyway.

Tomorrow is a casual day, and there's double spare first up, buuut double lit too, and I have a sneaking suspicion I'll have to do my thingy. Plus work, joy.

Here Is No Why.

'Lo all.

So, last night stayed up late, downloaded all sorts of crap from Velvet Underground, Smashing Pumpkins, and Nirvana, should keep me going for a while, I suppose.

Today I got up at like 12:30, finished the biology prac writeup, got through all of Mellon Collie, which is a damn good album, watched Beetlejuice over coffee and more biology homework, and then chilled. I needed to go down the street for money and to find some stuff for the top secret plan, but I'll do it tomorrow after work. Need to do some more bedtime reading for lit too, dammit.

Getting the distinct feeling that by choosing to sleep and rest and not die, I'm missing out. I dunno.

Tomorrow is work and homework, which as you know is my absolute favourite. Knowing my luck it'll be busy all day, there'll be a surprise 30 person table or two, then it'll rain all the way home, and there'll be nothing on this short story I have to analyse for lit for me to look at, plus everyone will be all "LAWL GREAT WEEKEND" and I'll still be dying by Monday. Joy.

The Distance.

'Lo everyone.

Like to start off by saying that since myspace is a ghost town (good god, have you all grown up or something?), the blog will not be crossposted there anymore, unless you really start whinging. You can find it directly through msn or go to the public one on blogger, I'll give you a link if you're stupid.

So anyway, today was one of those days where you just wanted it to end so you could go home and chill. These are not good days, really.

Got to school with a flat tyre, why does this keep happening. Double biology first up, had to do a prac involving alcohol and beetroot. Pretty quiet, cept for when everyone was stealing bottles off each other. Punk year elevens.

Recess, not really worth mentioning, I guess.

Then maths, Alison screamed through the work while Molly and I debated what to do for New Years (I say Isaac's, she says Lakes Entrance, so does Alison, but only cos there'll be no older kids at Isaac's [LAWL, kidding]), so I dunno what's going on yet. I know I want to be in town with the droogs, town being either Bairnsdale with Isaac or hanging out with the rest somewhere. Wingram tried to introduce me to screamo. Not going to happen, man.

History next, went over more Russia stuff, Annie and I failed spectacularly at the activity thing because we didn't realise there was stuff on the back.

Lunch. A little quieter. Read the short stories that needed to be read, had to laugh at the kids though. Oliver had a megaphone at one stage though, shouting about the casual day on Monday and generally being an annoyance.

And then lit, April did her thing, did alright, then Isobelle did her thing. There was a theme to her story about the community sticking together to achieve something, which Mrs Dosser jumped on, and she told us how the entire class was too scared to talk, unlike other year levels. Now, where have I heard that before? I couldn't help smiling, she's good, I'll give her that. Personally, the only reason I barely contribute is that everyone else has better contributions to make. Seems fair enough to me.

Then a glorious spare. I'm really hoping we get spares last on a Friday and double first up on a Monday next year. Enjoyed a coffee and some noodles, discussed books with Emma, year eight memories with Goody, and laughed at Sam's emo drawings. He's trying to get all of us down. I picked the guy that was flying, turns out he was hanging himself. I laughed. How fitting.

Then home, bike is being annoying, stole the BeardBike, then work was hell. Things all over the place. Saw Nick outside the park on my way to Valentine crs, what a coincidence. Had to go all over bloody town, sucked so much, but oh well.

Come home, wee bit dead, discussed the super top secret plan with Kelly and Annie, new plan, need to sort out what I'm going to do. Things may be a leettle later than I thought. Hurm. Then retreated to the shed for Shaun of the Dead and biology homework.

Tonight I plan on staying up late to download music, hopefully catch a certain French girl on the msns if she's around, then tomorrow is sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep in. And yes, I've been looking forward to this since last Saturday morning. Knowing my luck, someone will wake me up early.

Charging Swarms of Mouseketeers.

'Lo everyone.

Another one of those stinking hot days that end up raining and crappy by the end of it. Hurm.

So first up was extended homeroom, and everyone was asleep. I mean, Wiffy and I were half dead, cept for when Lulu and I were chatting about bio. Then chapel, Joy to the World and all that, slept through it, then a spare, which was kinda dull. Air conditioned though. Then recess, nothing interesting.

Bio was pretty quiet, I guess. Rant then a cut and paste activity. Meh. Girls were whinging about year twelve jackets. I don't blame them. Whoever had the idea of having our actual names down the front should have been shot. Stupid idea.

Then lit, Ruby did her thing but Mrs Dosser took over, then Jasper did his thing and Mrs Dosser took over. Meh. Mine will be meh too, I think. Going to give it a bit more of a marxist perspective to the feminist stuff we've been getting so far.

Lunchtime. Had a proper chat with Kelly since Denny was AWOL, which is good, then didn't really do much. Hung around in the shade, mostly.

History was alright, spent ten minutes talking about Rasputin, his death, and his preserved genetalia.

And finally media, started watching Slumdog Millionaire again. Emma and I were sighing the whole through as Oliver whinged.

After school, headed down the street for work, didn't have to visit Domain, but then my chain sodomised itself outside the very last place, which sucked. Carried bike home, made Fraser fix it. Diana and PD were around, got pizza, pretty good. At the moment, having just caught up on my correspondences (check your mailboxes), Fraser's listening to the Dark Side of the Moon (WHAT IS THIS NEW HERESY? WOW), and seems to be enjoying it (BUT WHY JESUS GOD WTF), and I'm looking forward to sleep.

We have like 3 and a half days of school left. This is awesome.

Mirror Ball.

'Lo all.

Wednesday. Joy.

Denny and Ryan rocked up again today, and I remembered that I had to start the top secret operation that has to be done by like next Monday, not sure about post and all that. Need ideas though.

First up was media, watched a couple more films, discussed random stuff. I need to find myself a few sheep brains, some spraypaint, cheap earbuds, and a knife. That'll take care of some of this advertising campaign, oh yes. Might freak some kids out too.

And maths, stuck up the back, got half of the exercise done, more than most of them. I'm starting to wonder whether the stupidity one member of the class is displaying is genuine, it seems too stupid to be true.

Recess. Chilled. Kids were coming back and forth from the library, they announced prizes today. During the spare I had next, checked it out with Tom and Dayne, turns out I won two bloody merit certificates. This means that I'm wasting my evening next week to get two pieces of paper, while some kids take home hundreds of dollars worth of books. Ah well, if I won books I'd probably buy the international studies textbooks or something. Certificates were for biology and media, by the way. Spent rest of spare chilling in common room.

Then lit, since Jasper and Ruby were still lost we discussed Twilight. Mrs Dosser wants to burn the books. I have newfound respect for her.

Lunch was meh, so meh I can barely remember what we got up to. That's shameful, we probably did something cool that I should be writing down.

Sport was meh, populars vs the rest in indoor soccer, wouldn't be too bad if we didn't have heaps of meat shields clogging the field up. Pat and Kirk from year eleven had a brief fight. Not very often this happens. Kirk swung, connected, Pat dodged laughing, Kirk swings again, whole court starts laughing.

Chatted to Sarah and Isobelle on the way out, then home, then work. It was quiet. The potatoes and carrots had already been peeled. There was the stockpot to be washed, but it was surprisingly clean. I nicked off after just two hours. I need more money, hung around asking for more jobs, but they just ran out, so they let me go. Had to take the old oil out to the thingy outside and spilled some, which sucked. They played Ten on the iPod though, yay!

Then home, haven't exactly done a lot. Want to watch The Lovely Bones, but I dunno if I should read the book first or not.

Had an idea at work. A while ago I suggested to Diana to do a photoblog. I figure I could do something similar, seeing as next year's going to be pretty important. One photo per day, with the blogpost, then the photo goes on my wall in the shed. By the end of the year, if all goes to plan, I'll have most of the year stored away so we can look back and laugh in twenty years. Sound good or not? I'm not sure if I'd even be able to continue ye olde blog next year anyway. But still, if any of you lot have any thoughts, comment.

If I go through with it, my christmas list (of crap to buy for myself when it's cheap on boxing day, ha!), is a big iPod, new computer speakers, and a cheapo digital camera. Geeky much?

Tomorrow's Thursday. Can't really think of anything particularly good about that. I need more sleep.

We're All Mutants Up Here Too.

'Lo everyone.

Aren't Tuesdays fun.

Neglected history homework til the last minute, then Denny, Ryan and I crawled to school.

No assembly today, so double history first up. Spent half the time helping the others, but got my practice thing done. Forgot to hand it up, did we even have to do that?

Recess. Glorious. The droogs were kicking nuts onto the roof, quite amusing.

Then biology, teacher ranted at us about cancer and lipids and tried to remember my name. Music lesson rescued me, wasn't too bad, Mr C reminisced about his days working as a kitchen hand. Good times.

Spares are fantastic. They make you hungry though, people are making food just for the sake of making food, you bastards. Chatted to the kids, watched as Tom got into a brief waterfight with Alison.

Then lunch, chilled out, at one stage Tom had a bread bag on his head (not suffocating, more in a way that he could balance a hat on top), and we scared some of the fresh meat, as today was year seven orientation day. Funny, we're meant to be the leaders of the school, but I don't think it's quite sunk in yet. Still playing can soccer in the locker room, still running around screaming. Hurm.

Media was alright, took some notes, then watched some year twelve's movies. One of them was from Wesley College and the bastard stole half of my ideas for my thing. James' was a blatant Hitchcock ripoff.

Then maths, spent the entire time arguing with Alison, but got all the work done with enough time to sit back and chillax.

After school, headed down for chips with Ryan and Denny, saw some boardos on a maccas run, saw Meg on her way to get books, Denny got this bizarre apple-berry drink. Weird.

Went home, nothing there but this perverse stench cos Beardman burned some lemons. Went to Darling st, kicked arse at Mario Kart, girls were playing this weird thing on the tv with some camera beastie, and free food. Best kind of food.

Right now I gotta get out.

Tomorrow is Wednesday, so it'll be meh, then I'll be working. Might be a late post tomorrow. I hope not.
